Our DDs family streams DirecTV, on their Roku.....and, use only ONE remote control, for ALL (including all of their other Roku channels)...they have no separate cable. The Roku remote even turns the TV on/off and adjusts volume. I love it :-)

I have a family member who claims that if you use Roku, you let WiFi into the house. I am a total moron about Hi Tech, so I don’t even know what he means.

I just enjoy the freedom of the hateful DirecTV, you can’t back it up, you can’t move forward, and when the Ads come on, you are a prisoner for the same six ads, over and over and over again. Plus you get info about the actors in movies and shows by a flick of the remote with Direct, That all is very nice. I loved all the recorded shows from Newsmax. And now, it’s gone.

Now, we only use Prime/Fire, maybe it will get better as I learn more.
