It is as you say, "unreasonable," for people to vote in 2020 and 2022 as they did yet the Democrats prospered where reason demands they should have failed and the Republicans failed where reason demands they should have prospered.
Why?
The first and most obvious reason, of course, is the media. So all of the reasonable questions that are laid down in the body of this article simply didn't get to the electorate or to enough of them to vote reasonably rather than unreasonably.
A second reason is the landscape of our electoral process. The Democrats far outnumber us in nongovernmental organizations that are aligned with government, that is, with leftist government and are indeed funded by leftist government. Think Planned Parenthood. Think teachers unions. These organizations provide more than money to Democrats much of which the Democrats have generously provided to them, they provide the foot soldiers who in turn provide the shoe leather to knock on doors and actually get out the vote.
A third reason, extends beyond the problem of mail-in ballots. Even if Republicans wake up to the new age of mail-in ballots they will have addressed only a part of the problem. With the money and the foot soldiers described above, the Democrats have combined digital mining with on the ground old-fashioned get out the vote drives. The Democrats are no less informed than sophisticated marketers in industry, the latter know all details necessary to sell to you, they even though your shoes size, and the Democrats have also mined this information. They know whom to approach, they have the foot soldiers to approach potential voters and they know what argument to use right down to individuals at the precinct level.
To modify an insight of Mae West's, reasonableness ain't got nothing to do with it.
Until Republicans address these problems from the bottom up rather than from the phony Rona McDaniel top down scam they will not prosper despite how "unreasonable" the electorate has to be to vote Democrat.
