I used to ride with a bunch of really nice 70+ y/o bikers. They'd ride early Saturday mornings on quiet country roads so as to not be a nuisance. You wouldn't believe the angry drivers that would blow their horns and shake their fists and yell out the window.

That's why I quit riding public streets.

People have a resentment issue and it isn't because these old bikers were hogging the roads.

I quit riding period when someone in a car threw a partially filled plastic bottle and hit me in the back. I was going up one of those tall bridges at a NC beach after a long ride, so I was already shaky. There was a line of cars, so I wasn’t sure which one it was. I rode the rest of the week while at the beach....but parked my bike when I got home. People are crazy.
