My dad, my sis, and myself, each had a pinto. Great cars: one was a standard body, one a hatchback, and one a wagon. Getting hit from behind was not very likely as we lived rural, and mostly commuted to small towns. It was rare that there was more than one passenger in them. They had the poly exterior liners installed.

Ford’s truck is well named.

Everybody knows lightning causes fires.

People who can’t tell the difference between incendiary Ford Pinto accidents and Tesla fires may need to have someone explain to them the difference between dying in a house fire and expiring due to spontaneous human combustion. Except the latter isn’t a real concern; current EV batteries apparently are.

they need to stop all the nonsense

its a waste of money and dangerous

As it is presently being done, yes.

In the early 1900s, EVs were used for local delivery and services in cities.

They worked well for that, and moved the pollution out of the cities.

They used simple, proven, safe technology.

Any idea of using them for longer distances in rural or suburban areas is insane.
