Presumably, this saucer idea started when, in 1947, Kenneth Arnold described them as “circular-type” objects flying in formation at more than twice the speed of sound...resembling "saucers skipping over a lake."
Or perhaps the saucer shape is really a physical saucer-shaped craft.
Who knows?

Haim Eshed, who used to be Israel’s Defense Ministry, came told Yediot Aharonot, an Israeli newspaper, that there an agreement between the U.S. government and the aliens to do experiments. The government just kind of ignored his statement, which I thought was unusual.
He was my old boss’s boss and a very smart guy.
Not sure if he’s lost it or trying to sell a book or finally telling the truth.
In this space-time continuum there are thousands of different religious sects that preach their own version of the Bible...and each one insists that they are the only ones that got it right.
Eshed is not the only one who claims this—and of course that is what the “Majestic” documents are all about....
I change my opinion on this stuff from month to month—this is a deep rabbit hole.

Absolutely. And why I believe one entity is protecting us from the other entities and ourselves. But with as little intervention as possible. They are gently steering us towards a progression of historical events that will define their own reality in their present. Yet there are others who would like to derail that future reality.

Absolutely, and the Bible is chocked full of these interactions. Just read it from beginning to end again while keeping the UFO and other dimensions concepts in mind.
I understand the argument—but “gently steering” runs into the same craziness (time loops) as all other forms of intervention.
The old science fiction concept was “time cops” who made sure nobody made a mess out of time travel.
Are there time cops?
How effective are they?
What happens when they fail?
There are questions and more questions—and not a lot of answers that make sense.

Kenneth Arnold’s account said the motion of the formation he viewed over Mt Ranier resembled saucers skipping over water. But the objects in the formation were not saucers, exactly. They were like saucers with a big bite taken out, more of a flying wing than the classic “two plates (one inverted” clamped together” craft. But the media of the day described what he saw as “flying saucers” and suddenly everyone started seeing flying discs. Weird, right?? Sothese craft change form over time in accordance with our expectations over time. Now, fewer saucers and more triangles and tic tacs

I suggested that the Bible is all about UFOs and extraterrestrials...that God himself is an extraterrestrial, albeit one who claims to have created the universe.
That statement above leaves young UFO guys and gals all confused. I have had several comment that they might be interested in looking into the Bible.

There are saucer shaped aircraft produced for the USAF. I vividly recall seeing one while walking out of an NCO club on an airbase several decades ago. My vision was a little blurred and the sidewalk kept moving around on me, but I know I did see a saucer shaped object flying around. The saucer had a cup on it for a cockpit and some cookies beside the cup for flight control.
