That’s a one-off. The amount of people texting and driving are slaughtering people. The trucking industry will black ball you from the industry, shoot your dog, give you large fines— but no one has the courage to pass a serious state law for drivers.

Tax money from “legal” marijuana sales make politicians have a reason to not oppose the cartels distribution of illegal MJ... ...very funny cause “illegal” marijuana sales are starting to bypass the legal taxable sales in many jurisdictions.
That, and car crashs, and other mishaps put an end to post hippie/leftist/hedonistic/narrow therapeutics/ argument that legalizing rampant marijuana use will be safe for all and decrease crime, decrease misery, and raise money for the government.
Self government works better when voters are not under the influence of exogenous chemicals.

“The trucking industry will black ball you from the industry”

In NH, one immigrant trucker rolled an 18-wheeler two weeks before he killed seven bikers—whip-sawed with his trailer.
