I think you’re right about the number.
The thing I like best about our threads is that we have very diligent diggers and posters who make sure we have truly up-to-the-minute news. I wish I could be one of them but I have too many responsibilities in a day to do much of that right now. It doesn’t get much better than smart people bouncing ideas off each other and holding each other accountable for the facts we post. You’re all truly the sharpest people I have contact with on a regular basis, and I have so much respect for everyone.
I enjoy coming here because it’s a pleasant environment and we have mostly congenial exchanges with each other. There’s so much ugliness in cyberspace as people hide behind their keyboards and say the most dreadful things, but these threads are usually a microcosm of intelligence, kindness, wisdom and support. When people are edgy, unkind or just plain mean to each other over things that don’t even matter in the big picture, it’s disheartening. That’s why I think the slides shouldn’t matter – because in the big picture, they don’t. People matter.
