The vaccines were designed to target the spike of the original archaic virus. The archaic virus and the variants sharing its spike ceased to circulate after the vaccines were released. Explain how that is a “pretense to stop the spread”. Maybe according to your reasoning it’s purely a coincidence that the archaic virus died out, leaving behind only Omicron with its unique spike.

As for the “0.5% death rate”, how exactly would that be known in 2020 when Warp Speed was launched? Covid isn’t a flu virus despite what the ignorant like to tell themselves. It’s a SARS virus and the only other SARS outbreak killed nearly 10% of those infected. Its cousin virus MERS killed 30%. That was the reason why virus hunters were scared of Covid. They didn’t have the luxury of knowing what future data would reveal.

For the first time, the US Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) has given a realistic estimate of the overall death rate for COVID-19, which in its most likely scenario is 0.26 %. They estimate a 0.4 % fatality rate among the symptomatic cases. If you consider their projection that 35% of all infected cases remain asymptomatic, the overall infection fatality rate (IFR) drops to just 0.26 %. This is almost exactly what the Stanford researchers had projected in April 2020.

As for the “0.5% death rate”, how exactly would that be known in 2020 when Warp Speed was launched?...They didn’t have the luxury of knowing what future data would reveal.

The exact thing could be said about the "vaccines" themselves. Rushing out, not just a new vaccine, but one using a medical technology never before tried in humans (and only tried with disastrous results in animals) is the ultimate unknown. They could not possibly have known what the negative effects would be. For all they knew, the injuries from this experimental drug would outpace any of the good it would do. And, hey, look at what we got now.

Why in the world would someone justify using one unknown to fight another unknown? And the truth is that the experimental "vaccine" was the greater unknown because it has never been used before, but the human immune system is a pretty well known mechanism, and SARS and other such viruses are at least a known quantity, with a number of known possible treatments other than vaccines. It would be reasonable, then, to bet your money on the known quantity rather than turn the entire globe into a gaggle of guinea pigs.
