Did they say whether the equator had anything to do with it or was it just American capitalism the reason?
While the right pounces, the left has us hurtling and careening.
The Gulf has always been warmer than open ocean, which has a surface limit of 30 degrees C. So a third of a degree per decade there is not exactly apocalyptic.
If you listen to Joe Bastardi, his theory is that ocean warming is not so much caused by the sun but sea bed geysers. It makes a lot of sense to me because much of the ocean heating seems to occur along ocean bed fault lines.
Perhaps it is time to take over Nicaragua and cut a new sea level Canal using nukes to excavate the soil as was planned decades ago!
I have read the Caribbean and Pacific oceans have a different sea levels and this might move the hot Caribbean waters out and mix them with cooler waters from the Pacific!
Of course some areas might get flooded but who cares! We will just blame it on a new step in Glo-Bull Warming!
We keep being told by other green mob types that the “dead spots” in the Gulf are rapidly increasing due to the pollutants being dumped there. I wonder if this global warming bunch has talked to the dead spot bunch about what effects these giant dead spots might have on normal temperatures?
No? Most likely both green weenie bunches are operating on feelings instead of science.
To hell with that Panama Canal idea, I say dig a mile wide 100 foot deep canal from San Diego along the mexican border to Brownsville Texas.
Get better mixing that way and you get hungry sharks.
