Anytime someone wants to ‘dance’ with gravity, I ask them if their Last Will & Testament are up to date. Reminds me of bungee jumping. Even before my several whiplash auto accidents, I refused to place my spinal cord in such jeopardy.
Also reminds me of our father. He joined the Air Force and fought in WWII, Korea and Vietnam. He survived it all. He refused to ever jump out of his airplane if there were still two wings. He used to say “There are 2 kinds of people that jump out of airplanes; idiots, and people in the armed services. Even when he was shot down in Vietnam, he managed to guide the plane down, and used the forest top to cut his speed. Thanks to God and the United States Marines, he survived and made it home to his wife and 7 children.

My father spent 27 years in the USAF and MDANG, he flew C-130’s for 15 years and dropped a lot of troops. He told us he was happy he’d had an equal number of take-offs and landings, and, most importantly, you never leave a perfectly good aircraft.
