ESPN anchor Randy Scott has been accused of using misogynistic language while narrating a women’s college basketball highlight on “SportsCenter.”
Scott came under fire over the weekend when he voiced a highlight package from the Maryland-Michigan State and was heard saying, “let’s get back to the actual basketball in Ann Arbor,” as the show transitioned to highlights from the Michigan-Michigan State men’s game.
Although it sounded as if Scott was saying that women’s basketball isn’t “actual basketball,” the ESPN anchor defended himself in a since-deleted tweet. “We did a VO of the moment of silence in Ann Arbor,” Scott tweeted, per Awful Announcing. “Then the WBB highlight. Then said ‘let’s get back to the actual basketball in Ann Arbor.’ Then the MBB highlight. Nice try, though.”

Sounds as if he is simply referring to real-time play vs recorded play.

We’ve allowed cancel culture to become so pervasive that actual facts and context don’t matter. We are no longer responsible for how we react about what’s said. It’s all about blame. We celebrate victimhood and reinforce triggers as defining who we are. NO. Human beings can overcome what’s come before in their lives and take back their power (as they used to say in recent decades). That used to be a thing but now it’s all about rage and destroying others rather than introspection and healing ourselves. We’re not allowed to overcome and become. Just like the discarded idea of “separate but equal” is back in the form of the NFL playing the national anthem and “black national anthem.”
We are live witnesses to the greatest power grab in modern history. Ensure new generations are programmed to feel themselves victims so they can be exploited financially and politically. It’s a new fascism.

We celebrate victimhood and reinforce triggers as defining who we are. I understand what you are saying, but do not use our enemies language. "We" did not do it. They did it, and are doing it to us, by manipulating the language and changing definitions to control information flow.
It is a small group of subversives who are deliberately destroying culture which has taken thousands of years to build up.
It is up to us to continue to fight back and protect western civilization. We agree on that.

I would watch my daughter or my grand daughter play, but it is a hard pass watching women playing any sport other that WWE or Lingerie Football.
