I am happy for the man but I would be happier if he had bought his ticket at a privately owned market.
The seller of the ticket gets a bonus for selling the ticket.
He bought at a corporate chain and that bonus will be largely unnoticed on their bottom line.
A small store owner receiving that bonus might make major improvements to his store or be saved from bankruptcy.
Shop local buy local.

Uhhh Florida lottery sent the ticket to that Publix so if he hadn’t been at Publix, which is not your typical corporate chain (always a good experience in GA and it’s employee owned), he would not have won and someone else would have.
There was never an opportunity to reward the locally owned convenience store or whatever because the ticket wasn’t there.
