Unlike the author, I do not consider either of these to be pluses.
George W. Bush. Yes, generally speaking, Bush is considered an awful president.
And yet for about two years after 9/11, practically everyone -- EVERYONE -- praised Bush. Rosie O'Donnell praised Bush, admitting that she surprised herself. Many, many Democrats did so. And Republicans and conservatives -- most of them worshiped Bush as though Christ himself had returned.

That’s not a plus; a person has to have the right enemies. The anti-Christ will be very popular.
