Republicans in South Carolina are working with Democrats on legislation that would allow thousands of border crossers released into the United States by President Joe Biden’s administration to secure professional licenses to take white-collar jobs.

That state is a disaster.
A bunch of USC, Citadel, and Clemson, Country Club Republicans, working with the other side to screw over the people of SC.
As if Graham, Scott, and Mace aren’t enough.
Why have elections there when the Chamber of Commerce and corporations dictate everything?
When BMW, Boeing, Mercedes, Michelin, Samsung, and Volvo speak, the South Carolina GOP listens.
Definitely, the country club, Sans-A-Belt faction of the gopes at work here.
The thing is this is all illegal according to section 8 of immigration law. It some cases it carries the penalty of death. And yet the law is just ignored.
The folks pushing it will never be affected by it nor will they ever have any of these people living next to them or going to school with their kids.
Push this law and start settling all these illegals in a Palmetto Dunes, Hilton Head Plantation, Sea Pines, Wexford, or the Battery in Charleston and this bill does before the morning coffee break.
WTF?!?!?!
OK. I get it. Illegals aliens can stay because we’re so kind and we have so much extra stuff.
But professional licenses are there for a purpose. Licenses can be issued for medicine, law, engineering and architecture and a host of other professions, but only after rigorous education, training, and examination followed by annual continuing examination and further testing. Maintaining my professional license for the past 40 years has been difficult but ultimately rewarding.
Am I to understand that these illegal immigrants are to be granted licensure in SC by virtue of what? Will they be allowed to practice medicine because they have a diploma from the University of Xan Jose, Costa Rica?
I have a designer in his mid-thirties who was born in Moscow, Russia, attended a premier architecture program in Russia and was fortunate enough to win a visa for himself and his family through the visa lottery program. His skills and experience are not in question. Unless he takes additional college classes here in the US and subsequently is able to pass the registration examination, he is prevented from attaining a license to practice architecture. Period. And he came to this country legally and is now a naturalized US citizen.
These people illegally running over our borders are in no way qualified to practice anything in this country. The national organizations in charge of controlling their respective professions should step in and demand that SC deny licensure. I’m talking about the AMA, ABA, AIA and the rest. The health and welfare of the American people and integrity of their professions demands this.
