We USED TO manufacture practically everything we used. Then the Labor Unions took advantage of that, and Nixon gave the federal government HUGE POWERS to shut down US manufacturing.
...so we’re through as a major manufacturing country, and if we lose access to China’s factories without already having replacements (hopefully in Mexico, as it’s next to impossible to manufacture in the US - so Mexico is the best we can hope for), we will be TOAST.
Some people obviously have no idea how long it would take to return to our manufacturing years.
Anything for Ukraine. Doesn’t matter how much damage it does to the US. Leftists don’t think. They just assume all this stuff was easy peasey.
