I've ALWAYS felt like,,,Hosp's are killing fields.
Worked in a Hosp...years ago..and we had Security that had Dogs.
I worked for decades in an urban public high school. I always had police-grade pepper spray within reach. Having such an item on campus was a no-no, of course. Can’t have anything that could be considered a weapon! But I figured that if I were caught, I’d play dumb and just get a reprimand.
Now here’s the thing. I know of one teacher (a grumpy old guy) who definitely had a handgun hidden in his room. It was well out of the reach of any student, but available if the teacher needed it.
The principal would have been horrified had she known this. But his room would have been the safest place to be in an active shooter situation.
