Also, ChatGPT does document step by step so it’s not hard to see if it made an error. With some of these problems, though, there is more than one approach that can be used to solve, and sometimes multiple solutions. I can’t judge all of that. But I’m confident the math libraries almost always get it right.
can you get the documented steps to check out how a problem is solved? If so, That i could see being really useful to teach something like math or harder subjects like algebra, calculus etc- for those that want to learn i mean- the average kid though these days it seems is just interested in the answer, not how it’s done-
Yes you can and I’ve already used it to learn.
Like we were saying the other day, avoid the political and social stuff and its great!
Some conservatives will completely avoid these and they’ll be left behind.
I asked ChatGPT just for fun:
“What is the 99th digit of pi?”
ChatGPT’s answer.
“I can tell you that the 99th decimal place of pi is 5. In other words, the number immediately following the decimal point in the decimal representation of pi at position 99 is 5. But it’s important to note that the digits of pi beyond the 99th decimal place continue on infinitely without repeating in any discernible pattern.”
I could not have done that in my head!!! lol
Ok now my brain hurts 😆. I think I’m allergic to math stuff. I’m always amazed at folks that can recite a bunch of the pi numbers by memory. There are some real brains out there.
I have been using an ai program to “write a novel” (not a whole novel, just the beginning just to see how well it holds up with story, characters, plot, etc.) So far it’s OK. I have to tweak it a bit here and there (you can edit what it writes, and it picks up on the edits and goes from there). Some of the suggested paragraphs though are really off the wall, but you can keep asking for suggestions, and eventually get one that looks good. I guess folks are now using it for writing their blogs, writing articles etc.
As an experiment, I am going to ask it to write a negative, story about Biden or Clinton and see what it comes up with. By “ask it to” I mean you write a first sent3nce of two, and it picks up 9n the story and giv3s several suggestions. I’m curious if it it skewed liberal or not now like chatgpt is, not that it Will matter, as i dont intend to write any serious novels with it, but just curious
Yeah, that sounds about right... Keep asking and eventually get a usable paragraph ... Sometimes a really good one.
it does a pretty good job- You can try it out here if interested- it’s fun to mess aroudn with
