He died from a bacterial infection. His situation was relatively rare but it’s obvious that NHS failed to provide good care. Even with a shortage of antibiotics why didn’t he get the injection when he went to the hospital? They had to have some idea what they were going to give him as an injection antibiotic (Flagyl might’ve been helpful).

Where did he acquire the infection? Might’ve been while playing sports or human to human contact. Not really sure why they wanted to remove his leg unless it was gangrenous.

My uncle once said this is why it’s called, “practicing medicine” they get it wrong sometimes. This seems like a systematic failure and not traced to one person with an error in judgement.

Why is there such a shortage of antibiotics?
The spike in demand for antibiotics is linked to the resurgence of respiratory infections after two years of COVID-19 restrictions, which has pressured global supplies and made obtaining imports unlikely.Jan 26, 2023

BETTER KNOW how to cure yourself, Naturally! It can happen here also. Things are getting worse and worse. Depending on a Bum foot is STUPID, depending on HEALTHCARE system to do the right thing, is just as bad.
