PA - bachelors degree with 2 years additional schooling No clinical rotations
NP - bachelors degree with approx 2 years additional schooling at least part of which is spent in clinical rotations
MD - bachelors degree + 4 years additional schooling of which 2 years are spent in clinical rotations PLUS at least 3 years (can be up to 7 or more) of residency and fellowship training after graduation.
There is no comparison in level of education
I’m sure there are NPs with decades of experience who know what they are doing.
