My father died at 89. It wasn't 'sudden' nor was it 'tragic'. He was released from the misery of struggling to breath. He had COPD for over a decade - bought on by smoking igarettes for 63 years

All I can say is don't blame the cigarettes, blame your father in smoking for all those many years!

I do NOT blame tobacco.
And he blamed himself mostly - no one else.
But once he did say to me:

'I would have quit smoking many years ago if I had known
it was going to do THIS to me...'
