I just think it’s funny that a town barely above sea level is named after a village in the Alps.
Yeah most people don’t realize how flat the state is until they get here, there’s a few rolling hills between Ocala and Tampa, also some around Tallahassee. Other than that it’s about as flat as a pool table....being that the whole state is just a giant slab of limestone covered in sand.
Also, Switzerland Florida is 52 miles north of Interlachen. I guess someone was trying to bring a little europe to the sunshine state.....however I can assure you neither towns resemble their European counterparts. 😏
