Twenty years ago I decided never to have my kids set one foot in a public school. I have never regretted that decision. It was bad even then, but people were and mostly still are clueless.

I am amazed every day at the commitment most of the population has to staying so utterly clueless about the world around them.

Same here, I never regretted it but my kids education was important to me.
I think people are clueless by choice. Truth be told they simply don’t value their kids education over something like a house or job or free baby sitting. They care a little what their kids believe, they care a lot about the stuff they own.

Same here. It still stuns me that conservatives would send their children to public school. The rot has been so wide spread that the belief "it doesn't happen in MY public school" is unjustifiable. If the raping and sexual abuse of daughters doesn't convince "conservatives," I'm affraid nothing will.
