Thanks for proving my point by acting with the same very arrogant attitude that a lot of the community still has.
If you needed help I would jump in right now. In fact I have helped at least 30 folks here get Linux set up for the first time. I am currently helping two do it right now.
So I can back up what I stated. It is a very common thing for Linux users to donate their time and knowledge to help others. So I’m calling B.S, you really do not have any clue, you are guessing or assuming without actually knowing.
Sigh.
Why do you think I post articles like this?
I've been trying to help people, not only get into a better OS (IMO), but also to help them care for vulnerabilities and issues that may arise with their installation.
Ask for help, and you'll get it.
Deride the community and you'll get what you give.
anyone claiming that the Linux community is a bunch of garrulous old/social misfit codeheads whose idea of “help” is to tell you to RTFM has not had any significant interactions since.... I would say 1986.
I recently had a (still unresolved) issue with NordPass and MX21 KDE. THe people were kind, friendly helpful, and suggested several tricks, shortcuts and helpful hacks. Ultimately they did not work and I went to Bitwarden, but the amount of free time these guys gave me was impressive.
