The older you get, the more classic restaurants that “everyone” loved disappear. I have four or five in my area that I used to love that are gone. Its a rough business and very, very few restaraunts, bakeries, etc. survive long term.

So true. There’s a local dinery near me that has been super popular for two decades now. No sign of slowing down but as ownership changes (even within the same family), it gets harder and harder to survive.
