It’s ironic to say so in the context of this case, but the 15 % or so of the US population that is black has been committing 50% or more of the homicides,
It’s worse than that. They are 13.6%. Cut that roughly in half to 6.8 because black men the problem. But not all black men are, boys under 12 and over 40 are rarely seen out murdering. Really 15-25 or so is the prime time. Factor out almost all of the guys who do not live in urban hell holes. Then factor out the commissioned officers I knew, a banker I know, my physics teacher, guys like Thomas Sowell and Ben Carson... the educated. Skip over the ones who attend church regularly and the rare ones who head their own families.
My back of the envelope takes me down to an even more shocking number. Way less than 1% of America is responsible for half the homicides. It is not inherent because it was not the case before the family was destroyed and drugs were flooded in by Mexican gangs and our monied class.
Eventually, this will have to be faced up to.
I don’t think talking about black males between 15 and 40 is really that helpful, because males of that age group commit most of the murders, whatever their race.
There’s not much point comparing young black men to old white or Hispanic women, compare them to young white and Hispanic men.
