Many things...but mainly range and recharging times. I've been driving diesels for 10+ years and am accustomed to being able to do 600+ (highway) miles on a tankful. My current diesel,for example,has done 810 miles. Also 8 hours of overnight charging only gave me about 50 miles of range.
