If they stick to that college degree requirement, I suspect there will be a high rate of turnover from the teaching staff.
The majority of those with degrees are not going to want to stay with a position that is essentially a full time Babysitter. Plus, there is much liability working with little children. If a child has an accident or does poorly in the curriculum, some parents will assume it is the fault of the teacher, never their precious little child.
Child care costs going up. More abortions on the way.
“”He went on to attack the idea that children shouldn’t be exposed to “sexuality,” claiming that “such a view is a very white, Christian, upper-class, cis-gendered, and hetero-centric.””
This is the epitome of who and what they are. The ultimate goal is the destruction of the family. The idea that ‘family’ is only a ‘white’ phenomenon is the same crap pushed by the people who cannot answer a simple question: What is a Woman?
Whatever children that manage to avoid murder (abortion) must be raised in State-Approved facilities, where they can get their mind right. If a mother or father, or God forbid both mother and father, are allowed to raise their own children, they will not be properly educated (indoctrinated) and might stray from the path. Any child who does not grow up depending upon the State, might actually discover their own natural abilities. They might even accomplish more than others (Oh! The horror!) Equity will have to be instituted, and re-education for sure.
I watched the little girl next door when my kids were little.
Not a lot of money but it helped after my divorce. Gone are the days when people could support each other....without having a degree...or having to claim it on their taxes.
RE: I watched the little girl next door when my kids were little.
I wonder if Baby Sitting a child from your own home and being paid to do so counts as “child care” in DC...
Forced indoctrination in college leads to forced indoctrination throughout one’s life. Piss on these pinkos.
They just want people involved in childcare to have gone through the leftist brainwashing mills. They can’t have independent thinkers, or anyone not following the big-state narratives, teaching children.
And what KIND of Degree must the child care provider have?
My daughter paid big bucks to have a neighbor watch her kids. This was about 25 years ago.
Make sure she’s not some green-haired, pro-abortion storm trooper from Georgetown U.
BTTT
Child care cost is already out of control. So now the women will have to work more hours to pay for the time they for their kids in child care. How are modern women going to afford their SSRIs and wine after all this?
Probably not related, but…. If my child is pre-school aged and I don’t put him in pre-school, am I now an “at home” provider and, thus, in need of the certification/degrees required?
*Asking from the perch of having successfully homeschooled four children without being under the thumb of government approval
Degree type doesn’t matter. You can go to the nearest convenience store in DC znd for $12 and two NEHI bottle caps get any associate degree you like. A Bachelors degree will cost you $39.95 and six moonpie wrappers. Various commissions are available at a slight upcharge. The only caveat is that you must join the NEA on the spot.
There comes a point where it's not worth it for the mother to work.
If you have kids, stay away from DC. I would rather have my kids watched by a school dropout from Iowa who had to leave high school to work on the farm, than an ignorant ‘college graduate’ propagandized for 15 years by the DC teacher unions.
That is funny isn’t it. My effects never graduated college, but my homeschooled girls started college at 13 and 14. Antidotally, college education degrees make for lousy educators. ;)
LMAO! That has to be a joke because everyone knows that nowadays most kids are coming out of the so-called institutions of “higher” education more ignorant than they were before first stepped in a classroom!
PhD in nuclear physics . . .</sarcasm> B.S. in gender studies, more like.
