Exercise the same tactics used by terrorists and thugs to exact control and justice but do it legally. Yes siree Bob, Donald Trump is the MAN!!

Sounds like a plan and the problem is…

While I see no problem with the punishment to fit the crime, you can't forget where this 'information' came from...

The E-chan, I have the same idea about a decade ago free cable channel with televised executions.
I wouldn’t limit it to hangings, and change the job descriptions for executioners. Maybe an ‘Elvira’ type of hostess.
However drop tests might be cool. Or stoning, or oak planks with weights slowly stacked on top. Four clydesdales on ties to each limb, tracyor pulls, keel hauling.
Diversification will keep the audience interest.
Maybe even schedule during suoerbowls and SOTU addresses and compate ratings!

Yeah, cruel and unusual seems to have gotten a bad rap..
I don't think hanging was unusual in the 17 and 18 hundreds.. And as far as cruel goes, frying someone in a chair seems crueler then most.. In my opinion anyway..

This should work out about as well as his awful SwampJabs.
Give another gun to the tyrants.
There are folks who would have put the non-jabbed in line for this.

So it’s about executing those that folks disagree with?

Exactly. Some people “heard” other people had “heard.”
They are getting desperate.

Firing Squads remain on the shortlist of SCOTUS-approved execution methods. Not my favorite...
I still like the idea of public hangings (which also still is on the list).
The entire point of capital punishment is to make it a deterrent. Quietly putting a person to sleep, then stopping their heart with chemicals in nearly all cases - is like putting your family pet down... and is done at night, with a select set of witnesses.

The reality is - there isn’t much “justice”. The death penalty so rarely gets carried out - and as you said - hiding it away - erases the second biggest value - making it a deterrent.

The backlog would last 10 years. I’d like to do a show called ‘Real Survivor’ and throw groups of 100 on an island. Last person alive gets a pardon and a new identity in Venezuela.I LOVE IT!! That has got to be about the BEST idea I have EVER heard on this subject.

I've been saying this for decades. If bad guys see the potential risk of committing a crime, they MIGHT think again.
The guillotine is another alternative since it was especially popular during the French revolution.
