I saw her in a tiny lounge of a Holiday Inn in Massachusetts as she was re-launching her career in the late 90s, just before “No Exit.” Great show. Someone requested “The Tide Is High.” She raced through it double time, and then requested a better choice of a song. I shouted, “Play Freebird!” She stopped, glared at me, shook her head and laughed; it was that tiny of a venue.
Well that sounds mean.
