Not a good example; that rock is one that was picked out in much later years because it looked rather like it fit the bill, and that is well-known in these parts. There are other really good illustrations, though, I bet.
Doesn’t matter. The sea has generally been rising since the last glacial maximum. There were no smoke stacks and tailpipes to cause it. The sea level will rise and fall. Climates ALWAYS change.
