I have a question. I presume the explosion from a Sidewinder destroys these "objects" (unless they have a force field or are made of unobtanium).
Is there a practical way to recover one of them? Intact?

Has anyone asked the blinker if there is any more inexpensive way to down these to be able to be recovered then launching a $400k Sidewinder each time we see a balloon in the US?
