Take a large grain of salt when a woman is crying about how scared she is.
Seems like you could get dead mice or something in there that would make it worth it.

We had it done once.
The amount of crap they cleaned out was disgusting.

Especially flex duct. It is installed in new homes because it goes in fast. Even removing it to clean it is a pain because of the wire coil ribbing creates a lot of valleys. It’s in the home we live in. I plan to replace it with steel soon, hopefully. It’s much easier to clean, and is mouse proof.
During all my years on IL farms, mice were a problem. Farm cats were a necessity. And of about 51 yrs of living in old IL farm houses with forced air ducts, the steel ductwork was never punctured by mice.
