The requirement of my local county is for the pipe and fittings to withstand 1,000 degrees Fahrenheit for inside the building.

Not pexlan. The clear tubing, so it could monitored. And always ran through secondary containment with “bridges”/ monitor stations.

Got my house rigged up like that through fiberglass secondary with ‘ smellers’. Plus my tank has a mechanical leak detection system

Went a little overboard,but just wanted to cover my ass. (I still keep a license)
