After chasing scotch for years, I’ve been on a bit of a rye kick. Fortunately, it’s made a comeback due to small distillers. Maryland used to be a hotbed of rye whisky, but the last distiller “Pikesville Supreme” closed in the 70’s.
I’m with you, Tijeras_Slim.
I’ve been on a bourbon journey for years. Now and then, though, I pop over to the Rye brands. And, I find them refreshing, bright, and some are quite tasty. Most recently, I spent some time with Sazerac Rye, taken neat or on the rocks. Quite good stuff.
But, I’ll be back to my ‘go to’ Bourbon next week...Woodford Reserve Double Oaked.
