Somehow they need to change the culture from ‘identification as victims (DEI), and replace it with an intellectual culture, like the Asian Culture does. As long as they are taught every single minute of every single day that “Whitey had made them stupid” then they will not progress.

Yep. Baltimore schools are currently paid about $21,000 PER STUDENT from the taxpayers. When questions are raised about student performance the “educators’” responses are always that MORE MONEY IS NEEDED AND TEACHER PAY RAISES ARE NEEDED.
What was the range of IQ values of the 2,000 students in those 23 Baltimore schools?
Also, what was the range of IQ values of the teachers of those 2,000 students in those 23 Baltimore schools?

100% spot on. Unfortunately it is too late. Teachers unions control the democrat politician stooges. The teachers that are lockstep and beholden to the union are a scourge upon our society. I have to look no further than the two educator husband and wife combo in my cul-de-sac and one that lives across the street. Democrat stooges - all of them.
But what does it matter? to the left, math is sexist/racist/homophobe and 2 + 2 = 5. Math is the instrument of White supremacy!
And why does it matter? They’ll be passed and graduated anyway, and put into college with their tuition paid, and get a diploma and get an affirmative action job that they don’t know how to do.

You are correct. Most cashiers have no trouble swiping the card and giving you a receipt. But give them a $20 for a $7.67 bill and they’re likely to freeze up, then attempt to give you some bills and coins in the hope that it’s close. I recently gave a cashier $20.24 for a $12.24 bill. I received nine dollars and some change in return.
The primary uses for Government schools are daycare and meals
Some teachers go into teaching to make a difference (either for good or for indoctrination). But other teachers go into teaching because whatever major they tried to do in college was too tough and they switched to an easy education degree. Those teachers are the ones who are horrible at math.
But they are proficient in New Math. That’s the one where you think of math in concepts and don’t learn how to add and subtract.

I’m afraid it’s much worse than it appears. How many people understand just how bad grade level is? Are we to believe that grade level for an eighth grader is the same as it was in the ‘60s when I was in the 8th grade? I know damn well it’s not based on my daughter’s time in high school in the 90s. Grade level for any subject is pathetic now.
If they had 90% of the students meeting grade level now they would still be woefully behind.
Depending whose numbers you look at, BMO school system is costing the taxpaying units approximately $18,000 per failure year.
