It depends. My house was 168,000 in 2010. Kitchen remodel was 20K(done in 2015). House is worth 345K today.
Of course it depends, but there’s nothing to indicate that the kitchen remodel affected the house price significantly. The market price of my house has increased similarly, and we’ve done nothing to it.
