Why would you not take NAD+ directly instead of a precursor? I purchased a supply of it but haven’t started taking yet.

Sometimes precursors are able to get the final substance into places the stand-alone stuff can't enter.
Remember, precursors are typically substances that help create the end product right where existing processes currently place or need it.
