Soon, every particle of dust circling Saturn will be classified as a moon.

Interesting news (when I was a kid they only knew of 12 moons around Jupiter).
But announcing it now may be just a distraction to keep us from worrying about the dwarf galaxy problem.
To: Red Badger
That’s interesting, but I thought those 12 moons were already known about.
Maybe this is scientific proof, vs assumption.
Guess what?
The unsinkable Mr.Xi of China wants to claim those heavenly bodies for The Party, ALL of them!
To: Red Badger
Up until now, this was just conspiracy theory, but doesn’t this FINALLY remove all doubt?
With this tremendous imbalance, Jupiter may soon Tip Over.

At least they’re not orbiting Uranus. Because this thread would deteriorate rapidly if that were the case.

looks like output from a spirograph! I used to make those with my 35mm Pentax and a cable release for the shutter.
Camera on its back facing ceiling, LED & battery on a string suspended over camera swinging in a circle, dark room and cable release keeping shutter open for approx. 30 seconds. Using a small aperature setting, the results were spectacular.
