Anybody engaging in bullying should be tossed out of school, period. School should be a place of learning, not of survival.
I realize she’s just a girl. That may sound sexist I don’t mean it to be. She needed mental health intervention right after all the necessary physical exams for broken bones or other serious injuries. Boys sometimes take beatings too. They have to walk it off and become stronger for it. Girls, well, they need nurturing and then they become stronger for it.
Very tragic story. Where were the 200 kids who walked off campus to give support to this young woman after the assault, to show her she was loved? Sorry but they made it into a sociopolitical issue about the school administration. This was a human who needed to know she was loved. I don’t know what they did before the suicide. Maybe they’ll learn something too: Not everything is political, most things are just human.
Residential Treatment Centers may be the best way to deal with these maladjusted kids. These are therapeutic treatment centers for at-risk teen boys and girls. They are programs designed to provide therapeutic intervention centered around healing and rehabilitating out-of-control, troubled teenage boys and girls.
Not me. I got bullied, I immediately was ready to throw down. Got me suspended a few times but made a few friends along the way too.
