Yes I’ve heard sociopaths use words like that. It must be hard defending yourself against your own feelings.
There is a difference between some 35 year criminal punk offing himself rather than face justice and yes one might not feel so bad about that versus a 14 year old girl just beaten up and probably concussed, confused scared and feeling like she has no way out. perhaps this gal wasn’t so much of a “spitfire” one posting described her as but a 14 year on a monthly estrogen rollercoaster still coming to grips with her budding womanhood. I have daughters who were that age once...not fun!
Now I will say I do have some questions about the suicide, like why the girl felt like she could not reach out to parents or loved ones and the fact she was not being sheltered away from her cell phone and social media for a while. The girl may have felt that she was in a double bind, knowing that she might have to go back to that school again. I have a question as to whether or not the girl was in a concussive syndrome due to the blows to the head and one doesn’t think straight sometimes. The girl was left alone so soon after such trauma, I have some issues with that. Normalcy Bias comes to mind with family maybe trying to get things back to “where they were”, perhaps too quickly? So there are aftermath issues that raise questions for me. Does that sound rational enough to you?
It doesn’t excuse the obtuseness of your statement! Eh...Mr Spock??!!
You’re just all high and mighty.
I think it’s good you’ve begun intellectually talking about it in this post rather than knee jerk visceral emotionally lashing out. I have similar questions.
Feel free to lash out at me all you want.
