Former President Donald Trump’s Facebook and Instagram accounts have been restored.
They were suspended in the wake of the Jan. 6 Capitol riot.
Trump’s last Facebook post before his account was indefinitely closed called for his supporters to leave the Capitol.
"I am asking for everyone at the U.S. Capitol to remain peaceful. No violence! Remember, WE are the Party of Law & Order – respect the Law and our great men and women in Blue. Thank you!"
A Meta spokesperson confirmed to NBC News on Thursday that Trump’s accounts had been reinstated.

Twitter already let him back on. He’s sticking with Truth Social. Good for him. I’m back on Twitter now, but not very active. Never was.
I always hated it. Even moreso now. Can’t even remember my password, and am studiously avoiding refreshing my memory.

Truth Social is where he preaches to the MAGA choir, to 1/10th the number of people who follow him on Twitter.
If he wants to be a serious candidate, he's going to have to resume posting on the mainstream (aka popular) social media sites. He's going to need more than the MAGA faithful to pull him across the finish line.
He might also want to hire a social media team to, at the very least, proofread his posts.

Trump doesn’t need to be back on these sites until summer or early 2024.
He’s the only declared candidate at the moment, no need to rush things until a bunch of ambitious peasants declare there intentions.

Resigning myself to the depressing fact that Trump will likely get the GOP nomination, the longer he keeps a low profile and refrains from tweeting idiocies on social media, the better his chances of not getting totally schlonged by Joe Biden.
