This looks like a case of the small town East Palestine police department being overwhelmed by the moment and behaving stupidly.

The reporter for NewsNation had just started a live broadcast from one end of a high school gym, when Governor DeWine started speaking at the other end of the gym. The local police asked the reporter to stop and he didn’t wrap things up as fast as they wanted.

DeWine said he was only vaguely aware of some kind of a disturbance at the other end of the gym, until after he finished his press conference. The overzealous police probably caused more of a disturbance than the guy simply finishing his report.

Hopefully there is a quick apology from the police department, and some minor reprimands for the officers involved.

You really think the perpetrators of a Violent Felony Kidnapping at Gunpoint should just apologize?

When I was a kid growing up, we were taught that the USA has Peace Officers and that NAZI Germany had Law Enforcement officers that were called the Gestapo and they Enforced the LAWS handed down by their dictator boss

Need more than a minor reprimand for taking away someones freedom and throwing them in jail. Suspended with no pay would work
