Yep. For the record the Boeing EA-18G Growler platform is a carrier-based electronic warfare aircraft that took over electronic radar jamming and related duties from the EA6B Prowler.

Basically they took F/A 18s and crammed the electronic gear in.

Also of note is the Growler has had much of its armament removed and replaced with electronic gear.

I spent many years working as a civilian turbine engine accessories mechanic attached to the US Navy building and calibrating the main fuel control for the J-52 engine in the EA6B.

I’ll say this about the EA6B and J-52 engine.....the Navy got their money’s worth outta that gear.

By the time it went into sunset that airframe and engine were wore slap out.
