The problem in VA is the DC suburbs full of overpaid leftist federal employees and Richmond. The rest of the state is deep Red.
I live in Fairfax County in Northern Virginia and I can assure you there is a very conservative chunk of the population here, but it’s probably only about 35% of the county.
And it’s true what you say about overpaid Fed workers. They aren’t leftist in idealogy, but they always vote Democratic to keep that healthy six-figure salary coming, i.e. stolen from the taxpayers.
