This is interesting, but one caveat I would pay attention to is that anything that blocks a cytokine has cascading effects that are frequently fatal. Sort of like sticking your hand in a running engine.

You can get a very similar effect without drugs.
Have a pint taken out every couple months.
Forces your body to produce new blood. Much smoother flowing and viscous.
Plus you don’t have to worry about any number of possible transfusion problems.
