My friend in Dallas, TX asked why I live in Iowa. I asked him if he had Orkin on speed dial, which he did. I told him I have never called Orkin.
He then showed me a picture of a scorpion on his living room carpet. I’ll take a little snow and some cold weather.

I hate raking leaves because those critters fly and they love damp piles of leaves.
Snakes and spiders don’t bother me but the huge flying roaches do. *shrug*
Painful potential with scorpions but they don’t bother me like huge flying roaches gads!
I would rather deal with the heat than the cold, I only like snow for a day or two and shorter growing seasons would send me ‘round the bend, winter depresses me.
Having fewer bugs would be nice and Iowa seems to be more conservative than my Texas, plus it’s not on the Southern border. T
