I spent about 30 min with ChatGPT over the weekend. Asked it various questions and most answers were not that different from a standard Google search expressed in conversational English. Then I asked about election fraud in 2020 and 2022, especially in Arizona , and the answers were what you hear from the MSM - no evidence of cheating, no evidence of widespread voter fraud, Biden got more votes than Trump, blah blah. This chatGPT thing is way overhyped. It’s ability is style and presentation, not content.
“It’s ability is style and presentation, not content.”
I came to the same conclusion, and wondered what Google execs were so worried about. But then it occurred to me that the typical consumer of these products doesn’t care about sourced and well-reasoned responses; they just want plausible sounding answers. And if the answer sounds authoritative, most people will accept it as the gospel truth.
