a million-dollar missile to shoot down a balloon... Well, it was carrying a reconnaissance package that possibly cost the Chinese well over 10 million dollars.
And the Chinese got information from it that was possibly worth 100 million dollars.
We are talking about expendable equipment here on both sides.
