“...it is not a right...to attend a public school”, said the “legal expert”.
Huh???
Since it is mandated to attend public school, that statement is technically correct.
Correct.
Rights are individual freedoms of thought, word, beliefs, actions, and expression. They require no other person to provide them to you or to help you exercise them.
In fact, the only time other people are involved is when the state tries to take them from you.
Everything else is a privilege, subject to the whims of the state. If it is a service provided by others (aside from jury duty), it is a man-made construct and not an inalienable right conveyed by God.
The problem with the young people of today is that they have been conditioned to believe rights are privileges and vice versa. This is a dangerous path, indeed, because we will get up in arms when our privileges are impacted but sit idly by while the government savages our rights.
“...it is not a right...to attend a public school”, said the “legal expert”.
Don’t agree, but it is really stupid on the part of the parents.
If you haven’t noticed, the sorry state of “journalism” today, ever person who is quoted making a statement about anything is described as an “expert”.
