We’re down to 14 now. Feels like -5. The low temperature supposed to be, last I looked, around -7.
I do have one more errand to run this afternoon then plan on getting back home where it’s nice and warm.

Which means they are misrepresenting the overall picture of Temperature in the NE. They are hand picking the tops of mountains or something like that.

Here in PA it’s supposed to drop to around 10 tonight, but the forecast for Sunday and 10 days beyond is pretty good, temps might even hit 60 next week! First half of February looks unusually mild. I have not needed snow crew yet this winter.

It’s 3° F out right now and very windy.
The overnight low is supposed to be about -15°F.
However, we did get the freezer defrosted today. Just parked the stuff in coolers outside for a few hours while we did it and didn’t have to worry about anything warming up.

Yeah, the overnight low might be -17 instead of -15.

The geography funnels the winds through that area.

It is going to be (-10) tonight in southern NH. High of 15 above tomorrow and then 45 on Sunday. Highs in the forties all next week.
So, its going to be cold for two days. Big deal

Mt Washington is the highest peak in the northeast.
It is the second highest east of the Rockies after Mt Mansfield in NC.
So, the predominant winds blow out of the west or northwest. There is nothing as high from Montana for 2500 miles.

No gas stoves. No gas heat. no gas electricity. Shut down the pipelines. Enjoy.

In Wisconsin, we call this weather in February, Tuesday. In Chicago, we call this weather in April, Opening Day at Wrigley Field.
